Assaulted by grace

As I found a quiet place to pray today, I climbed into the tub knowing I would be alone and hopefully undisturbed. I turned on some live worship like all other mornings and slipped below the waves to rest my spirit in his arms. as I slipped my head under the water the music was loud enough to block out the kids and yet hear the words clearly from under water. As I listed and started to pray, I noticed the live worship the channel had chosen that morning was quite vintage, which was cool but as it went on, I notice a similarity in all the songs. Grace lots of grace and there is nothing wrong with grace believe me. but it went on and I was trying to pray through it I started to get nauseous because in this grace there was no need for repentance. just a constant repeat of you love me and take me as I am. It mingled with a newer song that has been annoying me lately that say it’s ok “because I know your love won’t leave me this way.” This is so not true. God loves you so much he gives us free choice and if you don’t want out, he will let you wallow in your sin. God is not the puppet master or what kind of relationship would that be. that’s why Christians live in putrid sin.

A God of My Making

it was during this relentless nausea that played through my prayer time until I could shut it off. This made me spend this time thinking when did the perversion of grace begin. We know in the time of Westly Spurgeon and Muller that what they considered moral was so strict. It was a time when everyone went to church, it was more religious duty than personal relationship and even when I was a girl in the 80’s there was a different code of public morality and acceptability, for instance there is no bleeping anymore. Tv doesn’t go to bed to a blank test screen and wake up. The things that were wicked in the 70’s is just cool vintage now. how can something My grand parents called wicked and by the church for blatant sexuality and drugs like Elvis, and beech boys in one generation be allowed my parents as soft rock and completely moral. and it certainly looks that way compared to the replacements of this era?

This is what I’m talking about, as a church we have slowly slipped in our morality. God never changed we did when we measure it by the today’s standard instead of God’s original standards! growing up in a wicked world the morality of your parent’s parents are laugh worthy to us. We cringe at the new immorality of today ignoring and indulging in yesterdays sin because it is better what we have to live next to, and put up with today, because to do other wise is the new world immorally, to actually speak against sin, is the now a jailable offence . Drugs and drinking aren’t illegal any more like in the 30’s, yes drinking was illegal! our kids will wonder why pot was ever illegal!

To make this new way church worthy and acceptable we call in grace, because it covers all sin! Yes, it does! Grace won’t cover a sinner! NO! It was only made for the saint that is fighting to NOT sin! Grace is not meant to be what makes it ok to indulge in this era’s immorality.

ASK YOURSELF THIS !

Think about what was wrong just a few years ago that is now legal and acceptable today.

What is wrong now that you hate, that in the next few years will be legally protected.

What do you dabble in today, that was a literal burning offence in the past?

Makes You think doesn’t it!

God’s Moral compass!

God didn’t give us grace to say he was wrong when he made the law. He gave grace to make it so in our humanity in trying and failing there was forgiveness. In this grace filled forgives, we have gotten the idea there are no rules, and we have decided to make all your own rules now.

Now, what I say is morally ok!

What God said was wrong, doesn’t matter any more!

Did Gods morality slip? Did He all the sudden have a change of heart to think that the definition he made of sin doesn’t exist anymore? NO, He didn’t! He never changed!

Hebrews 13:8 I am the same yesterday today and forever

Why would a God Who say;

Matt 5:37 “Let your yes be yes and your no, for whatever is more than these is from the evil one,”

be saying that no is now, yes? Are we willing to risk our salvation? our personal creation of this God we have imagined in our hearts that loves the new normal loves sexy tv, will still patron beeches with less than less because it’s just the way it is. A god that loves reading harry potter and watching every new episode of lord of the rings not to mention he just loves watching the latest star trek where he isn’t God and demons roam as alien beings. oh, and when my girl friend and boy friend come over for sex he doesn’t mind watching. why because This is my god my grace loving god that say its ok to do these things, that he destroyed cities for, and flooded the world for in the past. Well, it not the same, that was before he became enlightened.

this is what the bible says,

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 ⁹Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; ^[^a^]neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [by perversion], nor ^[^b^]those who participate in homosexuality, ¹⁰nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers [whose words are used as weapons to abuse, insult, humiliate, intimidate, or slander], nor swindlers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God.

Our little ones who are waiting our return to them

Almost every woman has lost a child at some point in her fertile years, and I believe Satan likes to torment us greater than even the torment of losing that precious little one. It is easy for me to just tell you, “yes they are in heaven, and yes I have even seen them there in my secret times with the father”.

A few days after my baby died, when her autopsy was being performed. The father showed me her in his arms. She was alive, and wiggling as a little one should, and this is the only time I ever saw my baby move.

We need to know for ourselves, we need to feel, touch, taste, and smell, the tangible evidence of the reality of our faith, and the promise of our future.

I know it is not always enough to believe in a fanciful story, or a glimmer of hope. The father knows us too, He knows our hearts, and pains. He loves us and wants us to walk in faith, and not be discouraged, sorrowing, and not believing that there could be hope for those little ones that could not accept him before their death.

Often times we hear of stories of those who died in sin, who Christ actually came to in death, and gave them an opportunity to believe, and accept Him, and live again in Christ, but why? The only explanation is this, everyone is given an opportunity, is brought to the doors of choice. Maybe this is their time of decision. Don’t you think he loves the little innocent ones too? The little ones who never were given a choice to receive salvation? Did not Christ go down to the grave to give salvation to even Sodom, and Gomora, and the pre-flood, who died in judgment from God! 1 peter 3:19 4:6. Did not they who were evil, and judged before Christ get opportunity for salvation? Than how much more so the little ones who died spotless of their own wrong doing. Matthew 18:14! ¹⁴In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.

So let’s get some scriptural evidence of their living eternal life.

The first thing that really hits me is when scripture speaks of that great cloud of witnesses

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith,

Who are these witnesses?

Considering the sentence starts with therefore, it is referring to the previous statements made in chapter 11. It speaks of those who love God, and the promises, or reality of his son, and those who lived by faith believing his promises, starting at able until the present time of the author. So them being that huge crowd of witnesses. That being said, all believers from all time are watching you! Think about that, wow! Abraham, Noah, Paul, Debra, Abigail, David, Wow what an honor. It speaks of these servants of faith not just of old, but also of those who were persecuted after Christ.

So if those of old, and of the New Testament, are watching according to this verse, than how, and from where? Based on this verse, I would say if you could watch, and witness, you have a conscious reality of life. Would you not agree, or you could not make a very good witness? You are not asleep, but as it says witnessing, and watching it unfold. This is also evident in the story given by Christ, of Lazzereth the poor beggar and the rich man, who before the salvation of Christ, could see one another, and even talk back and forth one in comfort, and one in physical torment.

Here is another verse that speak of the rapture and the gathering of the saints he is getting them from the farthest bounds of the earth AND the farthest bounds of heaven.

Mark 13:27 (AMP)

²⁶And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

²⁷And then He will send out the angels and will gather together His elect (those He has picked out for Himself) from the four winds, from the farthest bounds of the earth to the farthest bounds of heaven.

How the lord plans to surprise his children after his coming!

¹⁷Soon—and it will not be very long—
    the forests of Lebanon will become a fertile field,
    and the fertile field will yield bountiful crops.
¹⁸In that day the deaf will hear words read from a book,

    The poor will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
²⁰The scoffer will be gone,
    the arrogant will disappear,
    and those who plot evil will be killed.

A similar fate awaits those who use trickery to pervert justice
    and who tell lies to destroy the innocent.

They will not work in vain, and their children will not be doomed to misfortune. For they are people blessed by the Lord, and their children, too, will be blessed.

Isaiah 54:13 I will teach all your children, and they will enjoy great peace.

Who are the children of God, do we have in heritance with Israel does this apply to us?

Isaiah 56:3

“Don’t let foreigners who commit themselves to the Lord say, ‘The Lord will never let me be part of his people??’ And don’t let the eunuchs say, ‘I’m a dried-up tree with no children and no future.’

For this is what the Lord says: I will bless those eunuchs who keep my Sabbath days holy
and who choose to do what pleases me, and commit their lives to me.

Who gets angels?

Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?

If our children have angels than will, they not receive salvation?

Parable of the Lost Sheep

How important are these little ones to the father?

Will he forbid them?

Whom are angels for?

Do they have angels?

So are they saved?

one final verse at this time ,Hebrews chapter 12 speaks of receiving discipline from the lord and then being able to come to him in repentance and stand in faith that he will judge you righteously that we don’t need to fear his correction. Then it speaks of those who he has love this way through time, showing his power, and discipline. That we like them have come to our mountain, verse

²²No, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to countless thousands of angels in a joyful gathering. ²³You have come to the Assembly of God’s firstborn children, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God himself, who is the judge over all things. You have come to the spirits of the righteous ones in heaven who have now been made perfect. ²⁴You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel. Or in amplified

²³And to the church (assembly) of the Firstborn who are registered [as citizens] in heaven, and to the God who is Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous (the redeemed in heaven) who have been made perfect

Notice it says that (a new testament Apostle Speaking ) that you have come to , it , this, now is your time of testing ,your mountain time here on earth , and those who have gone before and those who are righteous in Christ WHO ARE ALREADY MADE PERFECT , are before you.

Your little ones are watching you run your race, they are more alive than you, and I. they are living in a glorified supernatural bodies right now as we have seen in several verses.

Your little ones are not dead, just as Christ is not dead. You would never say He is, so how much more should we deny the very purpose of his coming by saying they are dead they are only dead to sin praise God! They will never have to face its evil temptation but are now alive in glory praising the Father and experiencing all the joys and great love of heaven.

The Big night scare ~What was that !

The season is changing and I’m noticing just how overwhelming this month can be. For some it’s getting the children back to school and juggling everything else. For others it’s bringing in the harvest and canning, juicing, and storing for the coming winter. Others are overwhelmed by health or family issues. Regardless, we feel the chilly breeze late evening and the crispness in the air in the early mornings. This last week, while feeling overwhelmed, I recalled a night many years ago.

When our children were growing up, we enjoyed the blessing of raising our own five, and a good number of foster children; totaling up to ten at a time. I remembered with a smile something that had happened with my two biggest boys.

Tom was back East on course for a few weeks, and the two oldest boys; both foster sons shared a bedroom downstairs. Every one was enjoying a good nights sleep when there was a loud crash followed by a major scurry on the stairs. My bedroom door burst open and my two brave, strong boys stood breathlessly before me, each with a pillow stuffed under one arm and a blanket dragging from the other. In almost perfect unison they gasped. “Mom, can we sleep on your floor?” I turned on the lamp on the bedside table and squinted at the fully awake, wide eyed ‘Chicken Little and Turkey Lurkey; one at six feet with size thirteen shoes, and the other catching up!

“What’s wrong?” I asked them. “There was a big bang in our room!” they chorused.

“Get me my house coat, I instructed, and one did so, while both dropped their bedding on the floor at the end of my bed in hopes of setting up camp later.

Down the stairs we went, with my boys that had manfully received the “Take care of Mom” instructions as Dad left, trailing behind.

I had a bit of trepidation at what might be there, but someone had to be brave. I turned the light on in their room. There scattered on the bedroom floor lay the entire set of Grollier Encyclopedias and all the year books. An upward look exposed a wooden shelf hanging by an end. “ I guess the shelf broke guys!” I said. They began to pick up books uttering a couple of “Hmmphs” in reply.

I could tell though, that the adrenalin was still pumping and they were both still

wondering who pushed the books down! Still overwhelmed, they asked once again if they could still sleep on my floor.

When we are overwhelmed, does God find us running to Him with a pillow

under one arm and a blanket trailing from the other? It’s okay. It’s better than sitting

in fear and sorrow bundled up in a blanket in the dark all by yourself. God never turns His children away when we run to Him. He says: “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” Ps 50:15

In the New Testament, we are encouraged to not suffer alone, but instead: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1Pe 5:7 .

God tells us that He has prepared us a secret place; a place where we can run to in our spirits and find comfort, strength and safety. “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Ps 91:1

Are there overwhelming situations in your daily life? Maybe there has been a loud frightening ‘bang’, that jarred your peace much like the crashing of the encyclopedias as they hit the floor?

Even those who appear strong can experience fear. What are the names on the spines of your fallen books: Work difficulties, Finances, Health, Family problems, Worries, Fear, others?

Remember God’s secret place. You won’t need your pillow. Just run to the Lord and pour out your heart to Him. You will discover the blessed place where His Almighty Shadow hovers over you in love and protection. Best yet, you don’t have to leave when your immediate troubles disappear. My boys, after a good night prayer, did have to sleep in their own room. God’s secret place is open 24 hours a day, and we don’t need our bedding. The best decision would be to ‘just move in’, and dwell there in His presence all the days of our lives.

It was a normal day, at that point,___ and I was leisurely pushing a grocery cart around a popular supermarket. I had begun my day with a nice devotional time with the Lord and all was well. I was almost done shopping, and my scribbled out list and a pen were kind of wrapped around the buggy handle as I pushed. It was the final isle; the crackers, cheese and the deli food, including the chicken rotisserie. One of the young employees behind the counter had just loaded up the rotisserie with plump birds and started the motor. Lights on, birds turning, then, just as I approached I heard a loud, scraping, metallic, CLUNK. The rotisserie door burst open and a fugitive foul flew forcefully towards me. ( Don’t you love alliteration?) I instinctively reached out my arms and caught it by a wing and a leg, finally grabbing it with both arms; list and pen included. Before, I could adjust my grip, there was another clunk and a second bird was propelled off a falling skewer and began it’s flight toward me. I shoved bird #1 under my left arm and slammed my open palm against the rotisserie door, nabbing Henny Penny with one leg out and the rest of her plastered against the glass. As I held my post, wide eyed and relentless, the remaining birds followed with their respective clunks and also slammed against the door, each determined to jar it open. The young clerk turned in the midst of the commotion and gaped at me, standing awkwardly with a raw chicken under one arm and the rest of his birds threatening to break down the door. In my moment of unbelief, I could think of only one comment and stated loudly: “I didn’t do it!”

An audience had gathered. It wasn’t funny yet, at least to me, but it was to them. They could all see that I was the innocent victim, and it was obvious that ‘someone’ hadn’t clicked the skewers in properly!

Now, thinking back, it’s quite funny and if cell phone cameras had been around at that period of history, I would have been on National news, or U Tube, and giving interviews. But, even better, the Lord regularly uses circumstances to teach me and help me to grow.

The chicken caper, had really been very innocuous. It was a surprise, but had no negative effects. It did not ruin my day. But, what about the days where the surprises are negative, and hit you like the chickens slamming against the door. One after another after another. What if there is a mixture of pain, loss, things breaking down, a car accident, relationship problems, financial stress, and whatever else. And what if it all hits at once. Lets look at a bad day in the life of a fellow named Job beginning at Job 1:1:

1 ¶ There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.2 And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

This was a man that honoured God and had been very blessed. In fact he lived and had the influence of a King. In verses 14 -19, we can read about his very bad day...... he catastrophically lost everything: livestock, servants, and all his children. Read his response vs. 20-22.

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

WOW ! But, Satan still wasn’t through with him: Job’s problems are not over yet: Job 1:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

The next blow: vs 9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

Oh boy! What comfort from the one that lies in your bosem! Job’s answer:10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. Another big WOW!

And the last blow: his self righteous but well meaning friends came to keep him company and beat him with their religious baseball bats. Job mourns, and suffers, and expresses his anguish, but never loses his faith in his creator. In fact his last haven is thinking about eternity when all will be well. Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Friends, things do not always go well, but Christ encourages us in our difficulties: Joh 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Our last refuge will be heaven, if we are blood bought children of God. But, there is more ! And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. . Ro 8:28

If we hang on to the Lord in faith, most often we see God’s hand of deliverance and subsequent blessing in the right here and now. Ask Godly people who have endured great trials if our wonderful, faithful God does not bring good out of evil? Their life experiences will awe and bless you.

And what about Job? Read Job 42:7-17 He is vindicated! He is comforted! He is blessed! This included another seven sons and three daughters!

And what about Job’s wife who added to his discomfort and didn’t show faith in God? I mean, she was grieving too, so we have to feel a little sorry for her. Well, she gets to also enjoy the blessings of God ! Really! But, I have to add as a long time mother that while Job gets to sit down for a bit and dandle grinning, gurgling babies, Mom gets to enjoy: another ten pregnancies, ten sets of labour pains, lots of sore and cracked ‘baby bottles’, maybe 25years of dirty diapers, and if culture allows about the same time period of someone in their terrible two’s ! P.S. I really, honestly did and do love being a mother. Start each day with prayer, Walk with spiritual care, and finish your day, regardless of it’s joys or sorrows, with your faith firmly planted in the God of the present, and the eternal. Here’s a little poem that I wrote more than 30 years ago when I was a young mom.

If I Only Knew

If I only knew what lay ahead, I never would go on.

I’d run from all the storms of life, my fears would cloud the dawn.

I’d pray that I’d be spared the day that peace was torn by tears.

I’d lack the courage to face the storm that would mould the coming years.

Oh blessed Lord, I praise your name; in whom all wisdom lies;

You’ve placed me in the darkest nights until my own life dies.

And then your loving whisper comes and calms what lies ahead.

Then by Your strength my paths are laid, and by Your love I’m led.

I’ve known Your beauty in the light, the glory of Your power.

I’ve felt the closeness of Your hand, I’ve dwelt in Your high tower.

But there’s no beauty known to man like the beauty of Your smile,

When it beckons through a night of tears at the end of a weary mile.

Oh Lord, I dread the times of pain; I cling to joy and peace.

But every step You lead me through is fragrant with release, of a life I tend to call my own.

When birth control came out in the 70's, the estrogen levels were so high ovulation never happened. The women never released an egg. They found out about 10 to 15 years later, after women started dying that the estrogen level was too high. They stopped adding so much estrogen, but that also left a higher risk of releasing an egg or a higher risk of pregnancy. To counter the risk of ovulation or pregnancy they started adding progestin. Progestin does not prevent ovulation, so what does it do?

Birth Control with Estrogen and Progestin work together like this.

1. By blocking ovulation (release of an egg from the ovaries), thus preventing pregnancy. (Estrogen)

2. By altering mucus in the cervix, which makes it hard for sperm to travel further. (Progestin)

3. By altering the fallopian tubes (the tubes through which eggs move from the ovaries to the uterus) so that they cannot effectively move eggs toward the uterus. (Progestin)

4. By changing the endometrium (lining of the uterus) so that it cannot support a fertilized egg. (Progestin)

The first two steps try to prevent conception.

If the first two steps fail, conception could take place and you have new life inside of you (You are pregnant). The new life is complete with 46 chromosomes. At the instant of fertilization, your baby's genes and sex are set. If the sperm has a Y chromosome, your baby will be a boy. If it has an X chromosome, the baby will be a girl.

This New Life takes a trip down your fallopian tubes to your uterus. It's grows on its way there. It takes around four to seven days to get there, an average of five days (One Week). When it arrives, it implants in your uterine wall for sustenance (Food).

But wait! Step four of Progestin. Changing the endometrium (lining of the uterus) so that it cannot support a fertilized egg.

So, the New Life (Boy or Girl) grows for a whole week and it finally makes it to the uterus. But when it tries to implant, it is unsuccessful. The uterine wall has been changed so that it will no longer support this New Life. It has been changed so that it will no longer allow implantation. Without implanting, the New Life (Boy or Girl) can no longer sustain itself and it dies. It effectively starves to death.

Thus, the fourth Step in Progestin, has successfully aborted this New Life and your pregnancy. The pill has effectively performed an abortion on your pregnancy. You were pregnant for a whole week and you didn't even know it.

The Pill, The Shot, and IUD's all work the same way. They do not prevent pregnancy from happening. They prevent the New Life (Boy or Girl) from living, thus aborting (Abortion) your pregnancy! While the risk of this is relatively low, it can be said that a sexually active woman on birth control will have at least one abortion a year.

Also, the risk of fallopian tube pregnancies are higher on birth control. If you take a look at step three, you can see why. If the New Life cannot make it to your uterus for implantation it has two options. It can either die or implant in the fallopian tube.

I was sick to my stomach when I first found out. I prayed to God for forgiveness for what I have done. You may ask, how was this allowed to go unnoticed? Or, why do the doctors and the companies tell us it doesn't cause abortion?
The pill companies know this. They will tell you that it does not cause abortion. They tell you this because they have changed the definition of pregnancy. They have effectively convinced most of society that pregnancy does not occur until after implantation so the New Life you have been carrying for a whole week is not really a New Life and you were never really pregnant. Disregard the fact that it has all the chromosomes and its sex, boy or girl, has already been picked out. On top of that, it has been growing inside of you for a whole week.

Most people agree that pregnancy starts at the time of conception. The time of New Life. Sperm meeting Egg. The birth control companies would have you believe that pregnancy no longer starts at conception. The reason for this lie is money! If they agreed that pregnancy started at conception then they would have to agree that birth control causes abortion! They won't do that because they will lose customers and money! Their companies revolve around, MONEY! They don't care that it allows abortions, or the fact that they lied to you. They just want your money! That's what makes them happy!

Many years ago, when we were still raising our family, my husband worked for a company that insisted on ‘ white shirt suit and tie’ business apparel. That meant that even with some perma-press shirts ( that always needed some touch up back then) I spent considerable time ironing. At first, as a young bride, I tended to resent this pastime. My dad had been a scaler who rolled and measured logs out on the log booms in the Frazer River so that they could be sorted into their best use once they entered the mill. He certainly didn’t wear a white shirt and tie to work; but did on Sundays. That made life a bit easier on my Mom. But to get back to my story, I soon discovered that ironing provided a great time to pray and to memorize scripture.

My husband worked for that company for more than 37 years, so my experience was lengthly. I still have a small scar on my tummy where I mistakenly burned it with the edge of the iron when I carried the beautiful cargo of my daughter Melody.

One morning in particular stands out in my mental album of Bloopers. It was the morning rush hour at our house. We’d finished breakfast, and I was bagging lunches. My husband darted by, kissed me quickly with a “Have a good day”, and grabbed his brown bag lunch while reciting his reminder words “Lunch, keys, pager, glasses, briefcase.” While racing for the door, he began squirming into his suit jacket while switching to free appendages from all he carried. It was then that I gasped. Really gasped, and out loud too! There, tightly ‘static clinging’ to the back of his nicely ironed shirt was a pretty pink pair of my unmentionables. The jacket went on and he was getting nearer to the door when I yelled “STOP!” He stopped and turned with a kind of freaked out look on his face. I ran to him, plunged my fist down under the back of his jacket and yanked out the stowaway drawers. “Oh that would have been great!” he smirked with a smirk that contained both relief and the foreboding of what could have been, then quick walked to his car and was gone.

My heart slowed down a bit and I returned to finishing lunches. My creative mind headed to his work place. .... He’s getting ready to do a computer fix in an upscale business office. He sets down his briefcase, and begins taking off his suit jacket. First there are the giggles of the female office workers and then the men start guffawing. He stands in puzzled wonder. Then, a secretary comes over and with a quick swish of her forearm, and great flourish, presents him with the pink undies. The world stands still. He can’t help but show some amusement, but inwardly he is deeply embarrassed and knows that he will hear about this for months, years, maybe even for the rest of his life. .... I knew that it wouldn’t have gone away for me either. My memory of the situation attests to the impact that it could have had- humorous or not.

It’s amazing how things can hide in our lives and hearts. We may not be aware of them, but them the Holy Spirit draws them to our attention. He won’t grasp them and pull them out of sight to protect our reputation. And yet, when they are made public, as happens with all sins big or small, they will delight the enemy of our souls by scarring or destroying our reputation as a Christian.

Be sure your sin will find you out. Numbers 32:23

My husband certainly wouldn’t have wanted to stay in his state, but the sins that we conceal may be there because we rather enjoy them: secret habits, unholy thoughts or imaginations, or even forbidden relationships. We know they are there, and, we know that they must go, for the sake of relationship with both God and man. In some cases, if we are knowingly and purposefully sinning and flaunting God’s grace, our very eternal souls may be in danger.

Are you concealing ‘unmentionables’ where no one can see them? God sees! With God’s help, Rip them from their hidden place, and repent. God has a wonderful Moving company for his children. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Ps 103:12

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Heb 12:1

It’s not just a temper! You are an uncut Wild Jem

For ALL my strong Ladies!

Just so you know, you are not the only one !

I am learning that when God calls strong Men, they have strong powerful women, unfortunately often willful un-submissiveness, and overbearing and stubborn. Your thinking “ya that is my curse a tongue”! Well you know, there is a reason you are so strong natured. The truth is you were chosen for that purpose that strength, you were hand picked to be his wife, because of the call he has for you. Only a strong woman could hold up to the pressures God has called you to walk in .the only difference is that He wants to mold that strong spirit into his perfect grace, tempered by his presence

You see your temper and his temper have similarities, but differences in purpose.

He made you this way, not for rebuking your man but for the purpose of strengthening, upholding and of calling him out into perfection of Christ. Not in the anger over him, or discipline of him, but by your gentle Godly character. You are to be tempered with Grace and won over by His presence. Your strength, has been your weakness But he planned it for your good and the praise Of His Glory.

You must be thinking, “How on earth did He think I could become tempered gentle and gracious, He must have been seeing someone else”. Nope He does not make mistakes you know you are called, you know you are chosen and further more he knows that He can accomplish this work in you!

It’s not just your temper; you’re just an uncut wild gem waiting for the hammer to perfect your beauty. Are going to resist the irritating tap and become permanently flawed. On the other hand, will you allow the little life circumstances you face to delicately shape your beauty into a jem that brings both honor to your husband, and helps shape him into the man you always wanted. Sometimes being a wife in ministry can be trying as he is often out late, or must be called away without notice. these time can really rankle a girl as they take away from the things you felt were important but when I prayed through my anger ,I found that he was not to blame but Christ and how could I refuse Him using my husband for His purposes . Yes, they are human and, you know what they don’t always think ahead of how they could have broken that to us better or planned it better. But sister they are growing too, just like you! They are still figuring all this out, when we accept the Lords call; we are never given the whole picture of our future with our men. We say either yes or no, and sometimes that call seems insurmountable, unrealistic. But we are talking about the King here He said, “All things are possible “that means you too. In your heart, the Lord has given you visions of his personal call on you, and some days or most you resist. I tell you if not you than who, who else can love your man with the hands of Jesus, who would you want too? So I admonish you ladies don’t resist the call He has chosen for you! Don’t turn your back on the call he has chosen for you both, don’t resist His hammer as it is for your good instead ,say “Father My heart, my hands, My tongue, My will, they are your. Remove the filth from this uncut jem you value so, and shape me into our perfect will, a stone worthy of all you have for me. Let me show love with in my God given Strength, instead of unworthiness. Let me bring peace instead of discord and resentment. Train my heart to follow after yours. In Jesus Name Amen

“Hey wait for me!”

During voice lessons, while preparing a little boy to sing a song about a squirrel, I asked him what the little squirrels were doing at this time of the year, and we agreed that they were gathering food for the winter. I then asked him, where they kept all of their acorns and nuts? With wide eyed innocently, he replied: “In their refrigerators”.

My husband, who was passing by remarked:” Those poor little squirrels would have a hard time getting those big refrigerators up in a tree.”

Upon hearing something like that, your mind (well, at least my mind) can’t help but imagine the scenario of a couple of squirrels struggling with a Kenmore or Frigidaire as they hoist it up a great tree.

We all saw cartoons as kids. We chuckled at the impossible that was happening before our eyes, and the characters that never died from the gravest of injuries. Wiley Coyote and Road Runner, Sylvester and Tweedy and others amused us often. Mallets the size of a house wielded forcefully by a tiny character would smash them flat. They would sit up, have a few stars swirl around their heads, and then their bodies would inflate and the chase resumed.

God is also the master of humor. He works with great power and orchestrates earth’s scenarios with perfection.

In 2Kings 13:20 we read: ¶ And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.

21 And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulcher of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet...

So we have this wonderful and humorous scenario laid out for us in God’s Holy word.

The prophet dies and is buried. After his death, bands of Moabites began invading the land; killing, looting pillaging, and causing great terror to the people.

A man was being buried and the mourners saw a band of men coming their way. They quickly dropped the dead man into the grave of Elisha and ran. The dead fellow’s body touched the bones of Elisha and the resurrection power residing in the prophet’s bones immediately brought the man back to life and he stood up.

What he did after that, we are not told. We can imagine that he knew of the danger of the Moabite raiders. He could have yelled “Hey wait for me” and high tailed it out of there on the heels of his friends who might have run even faster if they’d looked behind them.

It sounds like cartoon material. Yet it’s God’s truth and His tool for our instruction.

We are shown that after death, the prophet’s bones still retained resurrection life.

During Elisha’s lifetime, that life had flowed through him to others who had come back from the dead and returned to earthly life. But this was different. Elisha didn’t say a word. He didn’t look particularly charming and there was nothing about him that would be appealing or inspire any faith. But the omnipotent life creating power of God remaining in the bones of His prophet, touched this unknown man while his mourners ran for their lives.

We may not have been used by God to raise someone from the dead, yet Christ lives and dwells within us. His Spirit fills us and the fruits of our relationship with God should emanate from every pore.

Even without our words, and without great charm, the Spirit and power of our great God should walk with us and affect the lives of those around us.

We walk among the spiritually dead. The raiders of our enemy attack ,distract and destroy those that we see every day. We may not have the opportunities that we would like to share our faith with them. But the resurrection power of Christ dwells in us.

We are alive spiritually. We have eternal life. Let us walk in that new life in Christ, and may His presence in us awaken the dead around us and instill their hearts a longing for a relationship with their creator and new life in Him.
