Abiding

Abiding

So much of; growing in faith is about learning to handle our disappointments when God does not show up in a situation as we expect He should. It is at these crucial times the voice of the enemy comes to deceive us, and tempt us not to put our ...hope in the Lord for any thing any more, “After all why allow yourself to be disappointed again”?

Through it all God's voice continues to whisper,

“You can trust me completely to work my perfect plan in the best way possible, Realize that I am incomprehensible to you and it is your job to rest in My love. I do love you more than you can fathom and I am with you always".

 Listen carefully to the right voice! My prayer has been in the last few months

"Give me an undivided heart;

 I want to be radically laid down at the feet of Jesus”.

That takes ultimate trust in the ONE whom I cannot see and His character. I am choosing to trust that when I pray...that He is working, and I ask Him to align my requests with His perfect will. He says that when we abide we can ask whatever we will and He will give it. John15:7. I want to learn what that means, So that ultimately, whatever I ask for is an echo of the heart of God, and He will grant it because the desire stemmed from Him

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

As I was in my quiet time with the Lord this morning, He gave me the following verse to the verse above. He said, “If thine eye be single”. So I looked it up, and he spoke to my heart “Melody this is the heart of the matter, so many mothers and wives are divided in their focus between their desires, and the gifts I have given them to hold”. As I meditated on His heart, my heart was broken as I watched Christian woman distracted, their eyes and their hearts not single but divided. As women, the Lord has given us a job and this is it;
"To love their husbands and their children,  to live wisely and be pure, to
work in their homes,  to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God."
Is this your heart ladies? Is your eye single or is it divided?
Is your eye solely for your husband and your heart truly purely his, or is it distracted by the wanderings of a heart discontented?
Is your eye towards your children? Are you wishing you were somewhere else, not stuck at home changing diapers and picking up toys and washing crayon off the walls?
Is your eye focused on living wisely, making wise decisions for your household, making good purchases, managing your grocery money in Godly wisdom and healthy discernment?
Is your eye focused of things that are pure, softening you towards your family and God, or are the things you focus on, putting a wedge in your heart and calling you away?
Are your eyes towards working diligently in your home, or are you so distracted by desires, that your home is neglected?
Is your heart truly submitted to the will of your husband?
If your heart is not in the home, then you have been building heart treasures elsewhere.
This is the rest of that verse; 22" The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!"

God desires you to take joy in the gift of a family and love all that he has place in your hand.Don’t let your eyes be divided for it is sin, creating with in you the darkness of discontent ,depression and bitterness which leads to spiritual death. Single your eyes dear sisters and illuminate the light of Gods peace in your homes.

Maiden to wait

Maiden  to wait

Being single can be a lonely time for a woman. I remember when I was becoming a woman and how I longed to find my true love, It was my every theme from the songs I sung, the books I read, the pictures I drew. You see God has placed the desire in your heart to find a perfect mate, just like Adam longed not to be alone, God has placed that desire within us as well. Unfortunately the world has perverted waiting into testing.  According to the world we are to test all the water and then dive in, swim a while, enjoy the waves then hop out and test some more. This is not God's design. Did God tell Adam to go out and find a mate? Genesis 2:22 New Living Translation
Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man.

This is the principle I wish to share with you. In a lot of ways much like sleeping beauty I am challenging you to first place the choosing of your life partner in the hands of God, allowing Him as your father to approve or disaprove you future husband. Then to wait, to sleep as it were, until your prince comes and awakens you from your slumber. But remembering that your father is on guard protecting your heart guarding your purity and your slumber until he allows your prince safe passage to you in his perfect time.

Why must I wait? Well one very good reason for waiting is God commands you to stay pure   Deuteronomy 22:13-30(NLT) Regulations for Sexual Purity.

“Ya but that is the old law” you say!

1 Corinthians 7:9 (KJV)

9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

You see God has already created that special man just for you, and if you knew who he was would you not want to save your virginity for him, your first kiss for him. It is a very special thing. Have you ever noticed how all the treasures God placed in the world are hidden, gem, gold, minerals, oil. All these treasures God laid stored up for us to find and use in His perfect time you have a far more valuable treasure hidden within you a treasure that should stay hidden and not shared or revealed with any one but the true prince who God has chosen to reveal it to at the right time . When we give away our purity, we steal our own joy away. If we reveal our hidden treasures by immodesty, it causes men to want to take that treasure, which is not theirs to have, as it is already designed for another.

“Ya but what if it is too late”?

It is never too late. You see God has an incredible forgiveness system. When we say we are sorry He not only forgives, but He throws it in the see of His forgetfulness to never be seen or remembered again. Even though you cannot reclaim your physical purity you can become spiritual pure. Not just pardoned, but as though it never happened then ask your heavenly Father to put you to sleep and rest peacefully in His arms until your prince, your true prince comes
